Epstein bought a smaller island - Little St James - originally in the late 1990s, but subsequently obtained the bigger adjacent island in the year 2016 for a sum of $22.5 million.
These photos indicate he had formulated plans to develop the sprawling island by building living quarters, an amphitheatre, an underwater office and a pool.
You can see the plan is Pillsbury Sound, a marine passage in the territory, marked on the lower right-hand corner.
The architectural drawing is marked up in red pen markings and contains a legend detailing various sections of the property.
Accompanying the main plan are what appear to be several other property layouts and construction drawings, such as layouts for dock shelters.
